Step into the Forest

A unique entrance into the forest.

I couldn't resist a black & white version. I'm not sure which one is best.

  1. Definitely the top one for me, love the contrasting green and reddish leaves.
Mike, I'm in the process of starting a blog for photography, I'm still designing the blog but check it out at:

  3. I like them both, either way misty woods are scary...

  4. I think it works well in black and white, but I like the green moss. I miss it in the B/W. and Oregon must have it's moss!

...on second thought, the b/w is really nice. Nevermind, you're on your own to select the best. Good job on both

What an interesting place. I want to go there and follow that trail. Why the formal entrance to the forest I wonder?

  5. Not the most inviting of places Mike, straight out of one of those horror films. {:0

  6. I like the green better. Fog is so delightful when mixed with sunlight. Love it.

  7. George,
I checked out your photo blog... very nice! Thank you!

    Carolyn,
    Thank you!

    Pat,
The black & white looks a little more scary. :) Thank you!

    Kari,
This shot was taken a couple of weeks ago at a park in Eugene along the Willamette River. I wonder too why those steps are like that. I should ask someone. :) Thank you!

    Roy,
You're right... this could be a Sherlock Holmes scene. I think a sunny view wouldn't have the same mystery. Thanks Roy!

    Laura,
    Thank you!

  8. Cool! I have to go look for it now. I thought I'd been all along the Willamette in Eugene.

  9. Ooooh, I'm a sucker for the green moss and ferns of an Oregon forest - I say definitely the top photo. The black and white, to me, loses that verdant quality. Beautiful pic.

  11. Kari,
It's a nice park - Eugene is nice too!

    Farmgirl,
Thank you! The photos are kind of differnt. To some they might look gloomy but we know it as Oregon! Thanks for stopping by!

    Roger,
Thank you for stopping by! I like your photography!

  12. You know I'm a big fan of the B&W, but the green/color image is better to me. It captures the lushness which to me is what the image is about.
