They Don't Make Them Like This Anymore
Last Friday afternoon I noticed this T-Bird as I approached the Cruise In Country Diner. The new owners opened about a year ago after a re-modeled with a classic 50's & 60's theme.
Love those old T-Birds (and this photo). I had a 77 T-Bird. Those were no where near as great as the ones from the 50's/60's. But the thing was a tank. Brakes went out on it once, failed master cylinder, I hit a parked Caddy (~89-90 I think) and proceeded to remove the front end from it. The T-Bird was fine, hardly a dent.
Love this point of view - great shapes and lines, and a beautiful shot in B/W!!! Was this taken with a wide angle? Love the "fly" license plate - very fitting for the 'wings' of this classic!
Danny, Sorry you had that accident but the story brings a smile. Especially the part about removing the front end from the Caddy. I think those "tanks" were safer in some ways than the cars we have now.
Yolanda, This shot was taken with my G10 on it's widest setting (28mm). I purposely got kind of close to distort the look a little. Thank you!
