Taking a Break

When I began this blog late last December my intentions were to try and post a photo each day for a year.  Lately I've found that goal to be a chore instead of fun.  To those of you who have achieved that milestone I commend and congratulate you.

Instead of throttling back to posting every so often I've decided to step back and take a break.  This is only a temporary break to reflect and clear out the "fog".

Thank you to all of you who have visited here and for your kind comments.  I appreciate your support and enjoy following your blogs and learning from your photography.  Thank you, I hope to be back soon.

  5. Hi Mike,
Trying to post one a day would get to be quite a chore. I can't do it. I have times when I have a lot to post and times when I have little...and the blog moves along accordingly. Will be thinking of you while you clear out the fog, and God Bless.

  7. I hope you enjoy your break... it became a chore for me too. And now, if I can't post or just don't feel like it - I don't - and I don't beat myself up for it. Your photos today - especially that top one - are beautiful! Love that fog you always seem to capture! Hope you rest well! You'll be missed!

  8. Stacey,
Thank you for your kind and encouraging comment. Now that I've missed a day I feel better already. :) I like your approach to posting - thank you!

  9. It's supposed to be fun; when it ceases to be that, it's probably time to back off. I no longer beat myself up if I miss a day or two - the world will keep turning without my post. Enjoy your break from blogging, but keep that camera clicking!

  13. Hi Mike - I hope to see you back soon. It can be so difficult to keep up the momentum of a daily blog. I have been out of civilization for a few weeks and it's very difficult to catch up and get that momentum back! I'm slowly trying to catch up, but admittedly, I have enjoyed a little break myself. I am leaving the NW on Saturday, and I hope to see some wonderful images from here when I am feeling homesick again. I'm hoping my return to the NW won't be too long a time. Take good care!
