Under the Bridge

This is looking under the Yaquina Bay Bridge with it's cathedral looking concrete columns.  The only prominent sound was the low repeating drone from a fog horn.  Fog has a way of magnifying how sound travels so it really adds to the feeling.

  2. Great new perspective! I worked on the condo's at the South end of the bridge. ( at the beginning of the jetty ) An old friend was acting as general contractor. I spent some time checking to see if I still had carpentry skills.

Glad to see you're still posting somewhere. I'm in K Falls. Conch is staying here tonight. I'm waiting for a call.

  5. Hi Mike,
This is one of my favorite views of the bridge. It's as beautiful underneath as it is from above. A cathedral is exactly what it's like. On our camping trips to South Beach we fall asleep listening to that fog horn. Some of us find it soothing, others think it's annoying.

  6. Kari,
I agree, underneath a bridge can be just as beautiful as the topside. And I think fog horns are soothing just like train whistles in the distance. Thank you.
