Wednesday morning I left on the motorcycle for a three-day road trip in the sales territory. I consider it a blessing to travel that way and see God's wonderful work. I like bridges and especially covered ones. This is
Sandy Creek bridge built in 1921. I wonder how many early automobiles and horse-drawn buggies have crossed over this one.
A very peaceful scene. I don't think I've ever photographed a covered bridge. There's only a couple in my region - I may have to go look for one.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great covered bridge. There is something so appealing to me about covered bridges.
ReplyDeleteThe first thing I saw was the the words "motorcycle" and "three-day road trip". Sigh, must be the time of year and the (finally) arrival of summer like weather. I hope you had a blessed and safe trip. (I'll assume it was safe...you're hear to tell about it.) :)
ReplyDeleteThe bridge scene is beautiful. I don't think I've been to this one, and the setting is lovely. Nice job!
It's so beautiful and serene...
ReplyDeleteI love covered bridges, too. I don't see many where I live, tho.
John,
ReplyDeleteThank you. I hope you find one. I'd like to see a North Carolina covered bridge!
Carver,
Thank you. I agree!
Kari,
You've got a motorcycle eye. :) It was a safe trip with great weather. Thank you!
Stacey,
Thank you. We have plenty of covered bridges in Oregon. You'll have to come check some out.
Love this Mike!!
ReplyDeleteEve - thank you!
