Fog Shrouded Haystack
This is Haystack Rock at Cannon Beach. On Thursday morning it was enveloped in fog which gave it a distant, mysterious look. One of the many faces of the Oregon Coast.
That was pretty much the scene of the week! I arrived to Cannon on Thursday afternoon, and by then the fog was lifted much more. I had a room at the Hallmark Inn, which is pretty much in front of Haystack Rock - on Friday I couldn't even see the sand from my window - I sat on the beach for a few hours and I wasn't able to see Haystack at all! The fog then lifted into a gorgeous day with some wonderful vistas!
I figured that you would have the off and on fog due to the heat wave inland. The Hallmark is in a nice location to monitor Haystack. Looking forward to more of your photos!
