Hi Stacey, No that's actually the swirl marks from when the concrete was finished after pouring. It gives some texture. Interesting that you said that though... it does look like dust!
I love the way the light shines in through the grid. The emptiness and lack of color inside makes an interesting contrast with the hints of color outside. Sort of emphasizes the isolation within and vitality just out of reach.
And a dusty ground??? Interesting!
