A breakfast meeting carried out into the parking lot. I wonder how much progress is made throughout the world in business and politics from impromptu parking lot meetings.
Welcome to my view of the world as seen through a lens. My goal is to honor our loving Creator. Thank you for visiting.

Waiting Patiently
This was last fall when our youngest grandson was waiting for his baby sister to be born. His shadow helps give him that big brother look.

Portland Reflection
Yesterday afternoon one of our daughters had knee surgery. It wasn't at a hospital but a large new medical building that's part of the hospital. You can faintly see the hospital up on the right with cables running up to it. These are the cables for two trams that can shuttle people back and forth. I thought this reflection on the 16th floor was an interesting perspective of part of downtown.

Blue Asphalt Moment
Last night while adjusting another shot of the apple (below) in curves, the asphalt came out blue. I thought it added an interesting perspective.
By now the apple is gone and the gum will soon disappear. It's interesting how with a camera we're able to catch moments in time that will never happen again. And although the apple and the gum are not an example of a precious moment it does give one the thought to enjoy and make the most of each moment because it will never happen again.

Lonely Parking Lot Apple
When I got out of my car at one of my sales calls yesterday this apple was two parking stalls away. It caught my attention for some reason. It wasn't completely eaten and it was just tossed on the ground. Some detective work told me that is was left there very recently. There was no oxidation.

Building or Rocket Ship?
Smith Tower Apartments is a Vancouver, WA. landmark with unusual architecture. It's near the Columbia River and is visible when crossing the Interstate Bridge from Oregon on I-5.
Built in 1966, each retirement apartment must have a nice view.

A rare appearance of Mount Rainier on the left along with Mount St. Helens, as seen yesterday afternoon from the West Hills of Portland.

Evening Shadows
Last Saturday I posted some photos from a parking structure with sunlight entering concrete frames. This image was taken late yesterday from a different angle.

Precarious View
Within the last few weeks I've posted images from this spot on Hwy 101 south of Cannon Beach. Wednesday I rode by there again and stopped for a few shots. These three were sitting in what looks like a dangerous place. I thought I would post this familiar view again because they add a touch of drama.

The Mouth of the Columbia River
(Yesterday looking west above Astoria, OR)
I wonder what Lewis & Clark thought when they first reached the ocean and looked out on this vast expanse.

Sunday Morning
These four trees are more of my friends on my ride through the country to the jail. They have many faces and this is their early morning fog with drizzle face. There's something about fog. It adds an element of mystery with a touch of quiet loneliness.

Entering Light
This is the view from where I park my motorcycle when I work at the jail. I'm always intrigued by how the light enters these concrete frames. I have many images of how this looks with various weather effects in each season. It rained most of the day yesterday so the pavement from cars coming in and out gives some reflection.
A parking structure can be a welcomed refuge for riders on two wheels.

Life can sometimes feel like this...
This image is from the "Happiest Place on Earth", Disneyland. Happiness is dependent on external circumstances while joy is not. It's interesting that some people can have joy while going through the worst circumstances. Everyone has reason for joy. My prayer is that you have joy and peace in your life.

North Oregon Coast - Summer
A week ago last Friday I posted a photo of North Oregon Coast Wave Action. This image was taken in the summer from a spot nearby. These images show a couple of "faces" the coast has.

Wetlands Wonders
Yesterday afternoon I went to a wildlife refuge to take some photos and have some fun with the sun. The sun has been making rare appearances these days, especially on weekends. Over the next few days I'll post more images.

Birdhouse Fun
I noticed these in Northwest Portland yesterday. I think someone put gum around the spout to keep the rain out. It's a new method of insulation. Hey, whatever works!

Are You Staying on Track?
Life is too short to live aimlessly. Find out what your God given gifts are and use them. That's when we begin to really live.
