Birdhouse Fun
I noticed these in Northwest Portland yesterday. I think someone put gum around the spout to keep the rain out. It's a new method of insulation. Hey, whatever works!

Great photos! Interestingly, I would bet the birds living in each house are equally happy. Hmm, perhaps another life lesson here.
