Ashland Springs Hotel

The last couple of days I've been working in Southern Oregon.  About 25 miles from the California border is Ashland, home of the Oregon Shakespeare Festival.  The Ashland Springs Hotel was built in 1925 and restored to its original grandeur in 1998. It makes a great base for exploring such popular sites as Crater Lake.

  1. There is indeed something great and grand over properly kept old hotels. I loved that first one.

PS Thank you for the nice comment! :-)

  4. What a wonderful old building. Are you staying there? I would love to explore the place. I especially like the photo of the arched window and the beautiful architectural details.

  5. Thanks Kari. No, I stay at the low budget places. I'm a lowly business traveler. :) This place is right in the heart of downtown Ashland which is a quaint university town. Very much worth a visit!

  6. So, you took a photo of Ashland Springs but not the Shakespearean Theatre?

There's a place across the street from the hotel that is a pretty decent deli. Now I can't remember the exact name. Zabo's or something mystic like that!
