Clamming on the Oregon Coast

We went to the coast for the weekend. On the way into town Saturday morning I stopped by the pier to take some photos and found some people clamming.

Low tide makes sandbars in the bay.

Here's a guy with his limit of Cockle Shells.  A little flour and egg and they'll have fried clams for lunch!

  2. The first photo is phenomenal with that point of view, my eye is led so deep into the scene, it feels almost three dimensional! All are lovely with gorgeous lines... and clams :)

  7. I love these pictures Mike! I used to do a little clamming myself on the Island of Long off the coast of Portland Maine!

  9. These are great. I think I like the first and last best. Love the little red bucket. I think the last one with the cockleshells, jean clad legs and waders, has a lot of personality and has everything it needs to tell it's story.

  10. Thanks Kari! The guy with the cockleshells is a nice guy. He's also a good salesman for the clamming industry. We can't wait to give it a try!
