Campfire Memories

After having a mild winter, lately we've been experiencing a cooler than normal spring.  It doesn't matter what season it is though, the smell of a campfire in the woods is always good.  It can trigger good memories with family and friends.

  2. Hey, I recognize that roof!! :) I have looked down on it countless times! Sorry the spring is having a slow start this season there. I bet there's still lots of snow up there on Larch Mt. feeding those falls!

  3. Hi Mike, I have been to Multnomah Falls several times. Living in Idaho with family in California, it is a natural stop when visiting, and one child attended university near Portland.
    Nice shot of the lodge.
I love the smell of campfires, too!

Smores are a must with a campfire! Thank you for the reminder! ;)

    Yolanda:
Yes, Tuesday when I was there the snow level was down to the top of Larch. The falls are really flowing! We've been getting a lot of rain with colder temps which is dropping more snow in the Cascades. The skiers and snowboarders are lovin it! :)

I hope you've been able to visit the falls this time of year when they're in full force. Thanks for your comment! :)

  5. I want a cup of coffee and a nice rocking chair with that campfire please...and a big chewy, chocolate chip cookie. I'm not much for smores myself :)
