Multnomah Falls

Multnomah Falls is about 30 miles east of Portland in the Columbia Gorge. It's probably one of the most visited spots for tourists.  Here's how it looked yesterday afternoon with new spring growth on some of the trees.

I took plenty of photos so over the next couple of weeks I'll be sprinkling them into the blog.

I wish you could hear the sound and feel the spray!  What a spectacular display of creation!

  2. Beautiful Mike! Love the long exposure also! That bridge is fantastic. We went to a waterfall this weekend, on the bikes!

  3. I have shot this waterfall probably a thousand times, and in every season! NOW I am homesick! And I can feel the spray and hear the sound of it. You were very fortunate to get a shot with nobody standing on the bridge! Love the long exposure in the 3rd shot, great perspective too, nice depth! Thank you for sharing the Falls!

  4. Beautiful! And what a classic scene. I don't think I've ever seen the falls when they have this much water. We visit mostly in summer. I also love the long exposure, and when I look at the large view I can hear the falls & feel the spray quite well! Very nice, Mike!

  5. Roy - Thank you!

Eve - I hope you post some pics of the waterfall along with some iron! :) Thank you.

Yolanda - I thought of you when I was there! Sorry to make you homesick but I thought you would enjoy seeing it. :) Thank you.

Kari - Thank you. You & Ron should try to make it there in the next couple of months. It would be a nice ride for you. You should do a Mt. Hood loop. Rain or shine it's beautiful in the Gorge!

You can make it an all day trip. There are plenty of places to poke around and see. :)

This time of year it's really flowing which adds to the beauty!

  10. Wow, that IS spectacular! At first I thought it looked like some of the water falls in Georgia but I haven't seen any with a little bridge like that.
