It's Saturday. The grass is long and there's no rain in the forecast. Throughout the neighborhood the sound of mowers pierce the subconscious like a distant orchestra. All of this is done with the grace and precision of a ballet. Actually, I just took a quick stop to capture my neighbor mowing his lawn.
Wow - that's some plush green grass! And, looks like a lot, too! Good thing you've got riding lawn mowers!
ReplyDeleteAh! the smell of new mown grass Mike.

ReplyDeleteAll this rain has really made it green and lush. One must stay on top of the mowing these days! Thank you. :)
Roy:
Yes, that's the other aspect too, Roy... the smell! Thank you. :)
We can't wait for spring then realize all the things that go with it{:} The smell ahhh!! We usally don't have to mow until the middle of May but, this year it looks like soon!!

ReplyDeleteThat's nice that you have a shorter mowing season. I spoke with a guy at church this morning who moved here last summer from Portland, ME. He's still adjusting to our rain. :) Thanks for commenting!
That's a lot of lawn! I'm glad I don't have to mow it!! :)
ReplyDeleteIt does look like they're dancing in circles with each other.
Kari:
ReplyDeleteIt doesn't take too long to mow but I'd rather be on two wheels than four. :)
Yep two wheels are always better than four! I noticed today that at certain speeds the Ninja sounds an awful lot like a lawn mower! :O
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't write that were Irondad can read it. He says Beemers sound like tractors when idling. I had to raz him about that. :)
